Behind the Mountains to the East
By
Windspirit
As the evening sky darkens
My Lady calls to me.
Her shining light rising
From behind the mountains, to the East.
She speaks to me of the old times
Of lives that have come and gone.
When her people lived with nature
And the
Earth was respected and loved.
Her people would sing to the heavens
and the stars and Moon above.
They danced around the balefire
To the sacred
circle they would come.
They would thank the spirits of the east
For wisdom and the power of the wind.
They would thank the spirits of fire
From
the south, strength and courage, they would bring.
They would thank the spirits of the water
from the west, peace and tranquility.
And to the north the Earth powers
for
their good fortune, prosperity.
They would dance for the Lord and Lady
They would feel their power and love.
In the sacred circle
Together they
all would come.
Air, Fire, Water and Earth,
My Lady and my Lord.
In the sacred circle
They danced until the morning.
As the morning sky brightens,
My Lord calls to me.
His shinning light rising
From behind the mountains, to the
East.
