"My Lady, My Lord, and
Spirit of love, I light
this candle for guidance on my path, Give
me hope, give me strength, light my way. Show me the road I must travel, so I can let go of the past. Help me step out of darkness, Let me have knowledge of your love, Guide me, teach me, so I can help others, As below, So above."
The most wonderful thing about colors, candles, stones,
herbs, or what ever you connect with and use for your magick, is that you can and should make it personal, as complicated
or simple as you like. Take the information you find here, in books, other web pages, and from fellow Pagans as a guide, then
make the Magick your own. Always follow your own path.....Do whats right for you!
Colors and their magickal associations: Because our ability to perceive colors is dependant upon the
light waves that bounce off objects, colors really do have their own energies. The energy of each color, or its light wave
vibration, has an affect on the human body. Colors have been scientifically proven to affect our moods and to aid in healing.
In magick, colors help you fine tune your intent, focus your energy, and help your magick work. Your can use colors in
every aspect of magick. To use energy of colors in your magick, you simply select magickal objects...candles, powders, material
or string for example...of the color appropriate to the work you plan to do. Colors have many associations. Some of your
own associations about a given color will be purely personal.

Candle magick: You can use candle magick, for
just about any magickal purpose. You need to charge your candle with your magical intent before you light it. Then, when you
do light it, youre sending out your magick. See the magick rising toward the Gods. You can help send the magick upward by
using a feather as a fan. You can also use a crystal or bolline to carve your desire on the candle. (I like to carve runes
in mine). You need to be specific about what you write on your candle. Remember be careful what you wish for because you might
just get it. Its nice to use a crystal because the crystal itself will also put energy and infuse your candle. Pick the color
of your candle also to go with what your wishing for. You can dress your candle with essential oil: Hold the candle so that
one end faces you. Start applying oil to the candle from the middle and move your hand toward you, then turn the candle again
starting in the middle of the candle pull the oil toward you. If you were doing a spell to get rid of something, you would
coat your candle moving your hand away from you. You can load your candle with magical herbs. Hollow out a hole in the bottom
of your candle, Mix the herbs with some essential oil. Concentrate on your magical intent while you work. seal the hole with
melted wax and your candle is ready to go. Be sure that you use this candle in an area where you wont start a fire because
the herbs can flare up quiet a bit. Its usually a good idea to place your loaded candle in a deep candle cup, sink, or bathtub
to finish burning. If you have to, snuff your candle, never blow it out.
